Core I - Imaging Core

Neuroimaging provides insights into several neurodegenerative disease-related processes that affect brain health and cognitive decline including deposition of beta-amyloid and tau pathology in Alzheimer’s disease, indicators of small-vessel and cerebrovascular disease, and indirect signatures of non-AD diseases such as progressive supranuclear palsy and frontotemporal dementia. The WADRC Imaging Core provides centralized services to plan, facilitate, and carry out neuroimaging studies including PET and MRI. The Core also provides neuroimaging expertise, interpretation, and analysis support for standardized ATN outcomes and advanced imaging.
