Description

The State of New Mexico received a $137 million federal Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) appropriation to support long-term community recovery in areas impacted by the DR-4795 (South Fork Fire, Salt Fire, and Flooding) and DR-4843 (Severe Storm and Flooding) disasters. The funds are administered by the New Mexico Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (NMDHSEM). The program includes a Post-Disaster Infrastructure Investment Program ($27M) for local jurisdictions and a Disaster Resilience Planning Program ($1M) for units of government, non-profits, and educational institutions.
