TANF Behavioral Health Pilot Program

Oregon Health Authority

Description

The TANF Behavioral Health Pilot Program is administered by the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) in partnership with the Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS) and three Coordinated Care Organizations (CCOs). Mandated by House Bill 2032 (2019), the program provides funding to CCOs to increase access to mental health and substance use disorder services for Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) participants. CCOs are also required to collect and report data on the mental health needs and service completion of TANF participants to help OHA identify barriers to service utilization.
