Scientific Information Management and Literature-Based Evaluations for the DTT - Support for Novel Tools for SIM/Literature-based Evaluations
Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human DevelopmentDescription
New tool/method development is a critical component of the Division of Translational Toxicology’s scientific information management for activities related to literature-based evaluations and evaluating impact, necessitated by the volume of literature to review, complex designs, and varying levels of reporting of research studies in the literature. In addition, the need to prepare high quality text and graphics necessitates these activities. New tool development projects have involved development of automated processes that can increase efficiency in literature-based evaluations; methods to assess impact of variations in study design when assessing consistency across studies and publication bias; methods to evaluate research impact; and a tool for building complex data tables. Keywords: systematic review, publication, novel tools.
