Description

The Safe Routes to School Rapid Response Construction Grant Program provides funding for construction projects that address urgent safety needs (e.g., recent pedestrian/bicyclist crash with injury/fatality) or timely and urgent opportunities that cannot wait for the next competitive grant cycle. Funds are available to local road authorities, cities, counties, and tribes to improve infrastructure within a two-mile radius of schools.
