New Mexico Match Fund

The New Mexico Match Fund, administered by the Department of Finance and Administration (DFA), provides state funding to state agencies, tribal governments, counties, municipalities, and political subdivisions. Its primary purpose is to help these entities secure competitive federal grants by providing the required local matching funds. The program operates on a rolling basis and includes three distinct grant types: Matching Grants (to cover federal match requirements), Project Implementation Grants (for capacity building), and Federal Compliance Offset Grants (to cover federal compliance costs).
