Multi-Omics Technology and Development Core

The primary goals for Core B are to bring together existing shared research facility resources and establish a new integrated research core that will (a) develop unique solutions to the integration of multi-omics technologies and apply these methods in a fit-for-purpose approach to (i) analyze complex research samples containing conditionally unique mixtures of DNA, RNA, proteins, peptides, metabolites, and attendant modifications with the goal to (ii) informatically integrate these multi-omics data streams so that the end product is more than just the sum of its parts; (b) develop a self-sustaining multi-omics development core; and (c) educate and train the NHMC research project leaders, other members of NHMC, and the broader IDeA and NIH research community. Core B will develop cutting edge methodologies for the integration of multiplex genomic, transcriptomic, epigenomic, proteomic and glycomic technologies. Core B will become a regional and national resource for the state-of-the- art multi-omics technologies that are accessible and queryable by the broader biomedical research community.
