Local Government Compensation - Recycling Modernization Act (RMA)

This program provides ongoing compensation or reimbursement from the Producer Responsibility Organization (PRO) to Oregon local governments and their designated service providers for eligible costs incurred under the Recycling Modernization Act (ORS 459A.890). Eligible costs include transporting recyclables, expanding recycling services, implementing contamination reduction programs, evaluating contamination, and purchasing recycled plastic collection containers. The funding mechanism began in July 2025.
