Local Climate Planning Program

Oregon Department of Transportation

Description

This program provides $15 million in cost-share funding to local governments, including cities, counties, and metropolitan planning organizations in urbanized areas over 50,000. The funding is intended to help these jurisdictions update their local transportation plans to comply with the Department of Land Conservation and Development's Climate-Friendly and Equitable Communities rulemaking, specifically to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the transportation system. ODOT is developing a competitive grant program to distribute these funds.
