The Live Local Act Innovative Multifamily Programs provide a new recurring revenue stream of $150 million per year for affordable and workforce rental housing in Florida. The funds are administered by the Florida Housing Finance Corporation as loans covering 25% to 35% of total development costs for various multifamily projects. The program prioritizes developments that involve redevelopment, urban infill, mixed-use components, or housing near military installations. A portion of the funds is also dedicated to developments on public lands, housing for young adults aging out of foster care, elderly persons, and projects in rural opportunity areas.
