CORE C – CELL AND TISSUE ABSTRACT/PROJECT SUMMARY The purpose of the Cell and Tissue Core is to provide professional services and expertise to all Investigators of the PCD Pig Program Project. The Cell and Tissue Core will provide: 1) technical assistance for labor intensive techniques in cell culture, informatics and histotechnology, 2) professional specialized support for interpretation of assays and analyses, 3) consultation and instruction in techniques and analysis and 4) economic benefits through centralization of equipment, experienced professional staff and availability of specialized reagents. Program Investigators will have full access to the Cell and Tissue Core's expertise and resources, and Core personnel will provide services to Program Investigators in a timely and efficient manner.
