Conference: STATGEN 2026: Conference on Statistics in Genomics and Genetics

STATGEN 26: The ASA Statistics in Genomics and Genetics Section Conference will be held May 18 to May 20, 2026, at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. As studies of genes and genomes produce increasingly large and complex datasets, researchers need rigorous quantitative tools to turn these data into reliable scientific knowledge about biology, health, and disease. STATGEN 26 will address this need by advancing the use of mathematical and statistical sciences in genetics, genomics, and human health research. STATGEN 26 will provide a national forum for academic researchers, trainees, and industry researchers to share new ideas, build collaborations, and strengthen the scientific workforce. The conference will also provide opportunities for trainees and early-career researchers to engage with leaders in the field. STATGEN 26 is the third annual national conference of the American Statistical Association Section on Statistics in Genomics and Genetics. The conference will focus on recent advances in statistical, computational, and artificial intelligence methods for genetics, genomics, and multiomics. Scientific topics will include statistical genetics and risk prediction, functional genomics, single-cell and spatial omics, data integration, imaging and digital pathology, precision medicine, biomarkers, pharmacogenomics and diagnostics, and statistical methods for emerging technologies. Through keynote lectures, invited sessions, poster presentations, and roundtable discussions, the conference will promote methodological innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the development of new research directions at the interface of statistics, computation, genetics, and biomedical science.
