Conference: Molecular Genetics of Bacteria and Phages Meeting 2026

The 2026 Phage Meeting will focus on the latest advances in the broad field of molecular biology. Topics at the meeting include systems, synthetic and applied biology, stress responses, environmental sensing, chromosomal replication and repair, and cell structure. The conference will enhance research activities in advanced manufacturing, biotechnology, and AI. A major goal of the conference is to create an environment where researchers can gather and exchange information. Additionally, the conference aims to give students and early career professionals opportunities to share their work, to network with the foremost leaders in the field, and to advance their careers. The phage meeting continues to provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of the latest advances in modern prokaryotic molecular biology. Each year topics range from basic genetics of bacteria and phages to omics, microbial cell biology, structure-function, single molecule biochemistry, imaging, host interactions, microbial ecology, and evolution. The breadth of topics fosters rich cross disciplinary exchange among scientists, creating an environment where ideas interact and evolve. This collaborative foundation has historically driven fundamental discoveries that have gone on to shape and advance biotechnology. The meeting breadth and environment provides an excellent opportunity for the exchange of scientific ideas and information across participants that range from undergraduates to senior faculty.
