Conference: International Society of the Learning Sciences (ISLS) 2026 Annual Meeting (Doctoral Consortium and Early Career Workshop)

This conference project provides support for doctoral students and early career scholars to participate in a Doctoral Consortium and Early Career Workshop at the International Society of the Learning Sciences annual meeting. The consortium will provide opportunities for the early career scholars (along with the mentors) to explore innovative methods to analyze learning and data about learning, enhance their knowledge and skills related to learning sciences research, and consider the intersection of theory, research, and practice. As an interdisciplinary field, the learning sciences draws on multiple theoretical and methodological perspectives with the goal of advancing knowledge about human learning and development in a variety of settings. The project is part of an effort to nurture the development of expertise across disciplinary boundaries and to support the development of multidisciplinary teams necessary for conducting learning sciences research. This project is funded by the Research on Innovative Technologies for Enhanced Learning (RITEL) program that supports early-stage exploratory research in emerging technologies for teaching and learning. This award reflects NSF's statutory mission and has been deemed worthy of support through evaluation using the Foundation's intellectual merit and broader impacts review criteria.
