Community Services Block Grant (CSBG)

The Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) program provides non-competitive funds to designated CSBG eligible entities (Subrecipients) across all 254 Texas counties. The funds are used for the delivery of a broad range of services designed to eliminate poverty and foster self-sufficiency for very low-income Texas residents. The State Plan outlines the use of 90% of funds for these local entities and 5% for State Discretionary Funds, which support direct services and core administrative elements of the local organizations.
