Description
The Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) is a federal anti-poverty program administered by the Oregon Housing and Community Services (OHCS). It provides formula funding to pre-designated Community Action Agencies (CAAs) and other eligible entities to reduce poverty, revitalize low-income communities, and empower low-income families and individuals to become fully self-sufficient. Funds are used for services and activities addressing employment, education, self-sufficiency, housing, nutrition, healthcare, emergency services, and youth or elderly-based initiatives.
