Behavioral Health Housing Incentive Fund (HB 2316)

The Behavioral Health Housing Incentive Fund, established by HB 2316 (2021), appropriates interest earned from the Housing for Mental Health Fund to provide incentive funding for the development of community-based housing, including crisis respite, licensed treatment housing, supportive housing, and independent integrated housing. The goal is to ensure individuals with serious mental illness and/or substance use disorders remain safe and healthy in their communities by supporting housing development and related services like crisis intervention and rental subsidies.
