RRK Cable Assembly

This was a single source requirement awarded to General Dynamics Mission Systems, Inc. (GDMS). A notice of intent to sole source to GDMS was published on 05 August 2025; no interested parties responded to the notice or expressed any interest or capability to fulfill this requirement. The contractor (GDMS) has exclusive proprietary data as the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) that makes them as the only source capable of fulfilling the requirement. Being the original RRK designer and producer, GDMS is the only awardee capable of properly constructing and programming these cables at the level of functionality and precision assembly required; other sources would only be able to construct the cables but not program them. The resulting award was a Firm Fixed Price purchase order.
